Product Manager

Product Manager-full time, employee and contract position

technology products has an opening for one experienced Product Manager.

Skills:

5 years of project management experience, effective oral and written communication skills, software engineering background, and networking industry experience

Responsibilities:

Manage full product life cycles, from conception through market delivery.

Set product direction and introduce new products that contribute to the business unit and overall company strategy. This will include developing and prioritizing product strategies and roadmaps and identifying, articulating and prioritizing product requirements.

Understand convergent strategies, industry partners, competitors, customers, vendors, and technologies required to grow a leadership position in integrated media search services and solutions.

Develop and communicate strategies for current and new products in collaboration with a cross-functional team (e.g., engineering, marketing, operations, IT, finance, sales, business development, legal, etc.).

Manage Adara’s advanced Layer 7 networking and SOA products.

Manage development priorities and milestones for several development teams, working with engineers to ensure the timely delivery of world-class networking products.

Research and understand markets and technology standards relevant across the product line.

Drive product strategy and direction for new and existing networking products.

Build business cases for these product lines.

Develop product plans to maintain and extend product differentiation while meeting customer requirements.

Experience:

Bachelor's/Master’s degree

8+ years of Software Industry Experience

3+ Year in Product Management and Business Analysis

Strong knowledge with Web Technologies such as SOA and AJAX based User Interfaces.

Basic knowledge in routing, routing protocols, switching, internet and sound knowledge of general network architecture.

Prior experience in an agile development environment.

Directly participated in multiple new product development efforts.

Proven track record of successfully working with engineering to deliver high-productivity, customer-focused software by providing design leadership, functional specifications, prototypes, feature/issue prioritization, documentation, and test plan reviews.

Strong experience driving user requirements into roadmaps, functional requirements across a wide cross functional organization.

Very good familiarity with concepts around Application and Data Integration.

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

Federal Sales/Business Development for Networking Infrastructure

Responsibilities:

The Federal Sales/Business Development Position will be responsible for:

Developing new business/Maintaining existing business on a National level to Federal Government Agencies

Experience in securing relationships, contracts Prime/Sub, and contract vehicles:

Department of Defense

Military Health Systems

C2 and C4I Information Technology Systems

Veterans Administration

Health and Human Services

Is a significant plus

Qualifications/Requirements:

The candidate should exhibit the following sales attributes/experience:

Minimum 7-10 years successful Information Technology and Systems Design Services sales experience with at least 5 years selling to the Federal Government with preference towards DoD and Military Health.

Consistent track record of 5+ years of over achievement with experience in the Information Technology and Systems Design Industry preferred.

Must have current contacts within Federal Agencies. Must know contract vehicles and be able to research contract vehicles and network for partnering and sub-contract opportunities

Must have a minimum of 5 years experience driving sales through Federal System Integrators and Channel Partners. Must have current contacts with several of these organizations.

Knowledge and understanding of federal procurement practices and buying vehicles to include, but not limited to, the GSA Schedule.

Ability to manage sales cycles and make executive level Company/Product (non technical) presentations.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills (verbal and written).

Excellent organizational, time-management and follow through skills.

Preference toward candidate with start-up company experience.

Experience coordinating and managing National Federal opportunities.

Education:

College Degree B.S or B.A required. MBA would be a plus.

Government Contracts/Projects Manager

Intermediate Level with IT product company experience, preferably in networking. Government contracting experience a major PLUS.

Responsibilities:

This position will perform government contracts management to all phases of Government Contracting, from opportunity identification, RFP management, to post award maintenance.

Desired Skills:

Bachelor's Degree in related discipline preferred

2 years of experience in Department of Defense (DoD) or government contracting preferred

Prior Military experience a plus

Strong experience with government contracts, RFP's, RFQ's and RFI's

Job Requirements:

5-8 years of experience with testing IP related networking products

Must have extensive user level experience with UNIX

Must have in depth understanding of TCP/IP based protocols such as DNS, DHCP, NAT, FIREWALL, IPSec, HTTP, SSL, etc

Knowledgeable about RIP, OSPF, and BGP routing protocols

Experience with testing HTTP based applications and web proxy server is a big plus

Principal Software Engineer (Perm)

10-15 years of industry professional experience with large software development on Unix.

Have extensive hands-on experience with developing large scale and mission critical server software running on Unix, using C, TCP/UDP sockets, inter-process/inter-thread communications, and concurrent protection, strong networking background, etc.
Must have hands-on experience with and in depth knowledge of Web/HTTP/SSL.
Experience implementing and enhancing IP routing algorithms in an embedded systems environment.
Must have IP routing protocol development experience, i.e. BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, PIM, IGMP, IPV6; experience with scalability and performance is ideal.
Ability to widely apply networking principles, theories and field concepts to product testing and possession of working knowledge of related disciplines.
Requires hands on experience with one or more of the LAN/WAN and network layer protocols.

Familiarity with UNIX systems and environments;
